Bio's and
information on Elephant Nature Park's herd
Elephants have a different personalities. Amongst
others, we host secretive, happy, playful, graceful and shy
elephants. They form their own social groups and love to keep
company. Some of them, especially the older males, prefer to be
alone. Elephants live around 70 years so this mirrors human life
span in many ways.
We hope you enjoy reading about
the personalities at our park. You may help us, if you wish, by
selecting one of the following icons below each elephant picture and

Next Elephant
We are always adding to our herd as we look for elephants in desperate
need of care. The next rescue can be days or months away. We have to
purchase the elephants from their owners whom often demand big prices
for their elephants freedom.

Quiz Does an elephants heart beat faster than a
human heart?

Answer |
|
|
In Loving
Memory
Elephants have a life span similar to that of a human
being. Some of them arrive in such poor condition that
their time is much less than it should be. The heart
break in losing a herd member is felt by all at the park
and, perhaps even more so, by the grieving herd at the
loss of one of their group. |
