Navann is not give up and try harder to invite Sook Sai to join his herd

Since Sook Sai arrived at our sanctuary, Navann came to visit her and try to invite Sook Sai to join his herd as he would love to have her to be his new nanny. He try to use his cuteness to convince Sook Sai every day. As Navvan was born with freedom and never get any ferocity, his life is always joyful and he has so much love to share. We hope Sook Sai will fulfill her life with the love and warmth from our little boy then she could relief all painfulness from her past life.

Let’s see if he could be success to convince Sook Sai to be a pert of his family or not ? More update story is coming soon.

Elephant of the week 24 September 2023: Super Nanny Srinuan

When she arrived at the park, she embraced her new family immediately. Not only is she the adoptive mother of DokNgern, she is also the aunty of Chang Yim, FaaMai, DokMai, and DokRak. And when Bunma and her baby Chaba first arrived she quickly moved to assist caring for Chaba.

Flashback Friday 8 September 2023: A short story of our handsome young bull named Navaan

Navaan (meaning “gold” in Cambodian) was born at Elephant Nature Park in the early hours of October 28, 2012, to a chorus of trumpeting and elephant gossip. Navaan will never work and will never have his spirit broken in a phajaan. He was so adorable as a baby, and such a winsome lad growing up within a family of ever expanding Nannies.

Fascinating Elephant Communication at Elephant Nature Park

At Elephant Nature Park, visitors can often see younger elephants being surrounded, guided, caressed and protected by other elephants. This caring behaviour of elephants being attentive to the care and well being of other elephants, especially younger elephants we call Nanny Behaviour.

Rescued Elephants MoLoh and LekLek update by our founder Lek

After a recent post about the difficulties of 2 newly rescued elephants settling into Elephant Nature Park, our founder Lek Chailert today made this observation: LekLek and her mother, MoLoh, have been in the Park for some time now. It seemed likely that they would be absorbed beautifully into FaaMai’s family group.

Elephant of the Week 31 July 2023: Jokia

Jokia joined our elephant family in 1997. Mae Perm, the Park’s first rescue, embraced her right away when they met and they were best friends until Mae Perm passed in 2016. Through Mae Perm, Jokia was introduced to many elephants, and, most significantly, to SriPrae who took Jokia into her family when Mae Perm died. Jokia became nanny to Navaan and the closest friend to his mother.

Flashback Friday 28 July 2023: FaaSai Before her rescue and Now

She was just a young girl 5 years old, separated from her mother and forced to perform in the circus. With a stubborn proud heart, she refused to comply, and she suffered more harm, shackled and beaten until the owner could do no more with her. She was so fortunate to find her life absorbed into and fostered by a large family group.
