Big surprise from Dalah
Da Lah’s condition was very poor when she arrived to Elephant Nature Park on October 2017 but she has been improving slowly on each day. Recently, after we moved her into the wooded space adjacent to her shelter, she has a new vigour about her new place. This is no doubt due to the fact that she now lies down to sleep soundly every night. She feels safe in her own area and a good distance from other elephants, protected all around. The gates to her area are completed and she will soon have access to her pool which should be finished in a next few days.
Her mahout did not close the gate last night, he thought that she has no will or energy to wander or at least not far. We were quite surprised in the morning to find her walking slowly on the other side of the river by the cow paddock. She had gone swimming and then managed to climb up the steep riverbank in search of fresh green grass. We are very happy to share with you her health progress. More updates on DaLah soon.
