Elephant Of The Week: Mae Jampaa

Mae Jampaa, her name means “Magnolia”. She was born around 1954 and was rescued to Elephant Nature Park in December 2009. She worked in logging industry until 1989 and moved to work in trekking then started the new life at ENP. She is another blind elephant living peacefully at our sanctuary. Despite of her blindness Mae Jampaa is quite confident and very protective to her best friend “Mintra”. Mintra gave birth to baby Yindee in August 2013, Mae Jampaa has become a gran-nanny of Yindee with accompany by Porn Sawan, Malai Tong and Jarunee.

Now, she is 62 years old, has been spent 7 years of freedom at Elephant Nature Park. We hope she will live her life happily with her beloved family as long as possible.
