In the memory of Stumpy
On Sunday evening we were very sad when one of our beloved dog Stumpy have pass away from the heart failure. Stumpy is one of the rescued dog from the flood in November 2011. We received him in the middle of the night and the volunteer help him from the bad injured by train and he loss one front leg. Stumpy have a very special personality and attitude. He not believed about the territory ; he go every where at the park with no fear. He not afraid of any thing, even the elephant. He swim and share the river with elephant – if he take the spot he will confirm to take that part and the elephant must use the other spot. When the elephant has banana, Stumpy will also eat banana; when we feed the steam pumpkin to the old elephant, Stumpy also ask to have that food. He also so old and lost almost the full of teeth . Every time when I walk and spend time with the herd, Stumpy follows me and stay very close with me, and claimed that he also one of my baby. Later the herd accepted him. For the last couple weeks I saw Stumpy show tired and just follow me for the short way and then go back to his table and wait for me. Yesterday he follow me to the river and swim. But today I found him lay down not move much . I take him to the vet and a half hour later he pass away peacefully. I will miss this beautiful boy – this braveheart !
