Elephant Nature Park

With the small group of visitors per day at Hope for Elephants program, the visitors will learn how to treat the elephants with loves and cares. We also educate the elephants owner to let the elephants living in freedom. The elephant family love to spend the day to walk into the forest, enjoy having fresh food on the way and they can relax in the mud pit or dust bath after refreshed them self in the water. This is the wonderful day not only for visitors and also the great day for elephants.

The herd, including Baby Chaba, Baby PyiMai, BunMa, and LekLek, excitedly clamber over each other, celebrating the arrival of the rainy season. With it, comes new life and rising river levels - a happy time for all at Elephant Nature Park!

Fascinating Elephant Communication at Elephant Nature Park

At Elephant Nature Park, visitors can often see younger elephants being surrounded, guided, caressed and protected by other elephants. This caring behaviour of elephants being attentive to the care and well being of other elephants, especially younger elephants we call Nanny Behaviour.

Elephants protect a baby while she sleeps during a rain storm

This is another touching video, showing an elephant family gathering closely around a baby elephant at Elephant Nature Park as she lays in the mud during a rainstorm. The family protects her while she is laying down in the rain. Laying in the mud and in the rain, Chana is certainly wet & muddy but the nannies show a form of protection to their cherished baby Chana.

Baby elephant LekLek is becoming stronger and more confident. She loves running around her area and is quite territorial with strangers. Her weight is steadily improving, and we are delighted to see the little girl growing up in good health at Elephant Nature Park.
