Save Elephant Foundation rescue video of Dipor. A long journey for Dipor, an elephant used to haul logs and carry people is on her way to the sanctuary of Elephant Nature Park. Now She is roaming free and has made many new friends in her new forever home, no more, just the freedom to be an elephant.
Another elephant will shortly be on her way to a life of freedom at our park. DiPor, meaning beautiful blossom will make her way to Elephant Nature Park. At 50 years old, DiPor looks much older than her age. Although she has been through a lot in her life, her nature is gentle and kind. With a leg injury, her owners are no longer able to make her work and she can now retire to a life in the sanctuary of Elephant Nature Park. The truck is being prepared with treats for her to eat, supports to stop her from moving around too much, a soft mat for comfort and to avoid slipping on the steel floor and a blanket to keep her warm into the cold night. We will have updates to follow as her journey begins.

Baan Yen was born around 1950. Her name means ‘Four O’Clock Flower’. She started her working life as a logging elephant and was finally rescued after two decades giving rides to tourists in a trekking camp. Baan Yen arrived at ENP in January 2014. She was thin and had many abscesses. With good care, it did not take her long to recover and gain weight and energy. After a few months she met another newly rescued elephant named Jaem Sai who has since became her best friend.
